Gator Game Jam

Please fill in your details to apply for a spot in our event July 13th - 15th. Please note that preference will be given to teams for this event, but we will also bring in individuals to join teams as space permits. At this time, we are also limiting application to current students at the University of Florida.

Event Rules

  • Game Engine requirements: All engines allowed to be used to develop on.
    • Team members limited to 2-6 members (See Team Rules)
    • Teams must bring their own equipment. Must be able to demo games on their personal equipment for official judging
  • Submission requirements:
    • Must submit fully working build by the deadline
    • Controls: Can use any control system
    • Can use any Operating System
    • Must display 1 fully demo/playable level
    • May use open source/previously developed code
    • Must create all art material or use art with proper creative commons licensing
    • Note this may affect submissions to other competitions that prohibit the use of external art materials.

Team Rules

  • 2 - 6 Members
  • Roles: Engineer/Prog, Artist/Tech Art, Game Designer (GDD)
  • Team Tip: Look for a well-balanced team
  • Teams are required to bring their own equipment (PC, Keyboard, Tablets, Controllers)
  • Teams must consist of University of Florida currently enrolled students (enrolled in summer classes not required)
    • Valid UF Gator 1 ID needed on team members at all times.
